Welcome to another Monday! We are happy around our house because it's SPRING BREAK! Even though we woke up to hail and snow! But the rest of the week is supposed to be nice so I guess it's not too bad ;)
Did anyone else see Hunger Games this weekend?? Oh man. I have never been to such an intense movie! I loved the books but not sure if I would have liked the movie if I had not read the book. I think it may have been too much for me to not have warning about the story line! But hubby & I loved it and are seeing it again tomorrow night :) If you saw it, what did you think?!
Today I have some bright, cheery layouts to show you! They are both amazing!!
This one was created using Teenage Dream Stack. It is perfect for the "tweens" in your life and even for your summer photos! Those flowers are so fun, would be great on a card too!
I love all of the little details in these pages. Just when you think you saw it all, something else stands out!
This layout was created with the La Bella Rouge Stack. It reminds me a lot of the popular Street Lace Stack just with some different colors and a few new designs. Love the purple mixed with the leopard print. Animal prints aren't going anywhere!!
LOVE those roses!!
I have a couple winners from last weeks blog comments! Email me at erinmadsen@diecutsinc.com and I will get some fabulous stacks right out to you! Don't forget to keep the comments coming! I love reading your responses :) Congrats to:

ReplyDeleteLove these layouts Erin! I did not go see the Hunger Games this weekend though I am dying to see it! I did, however, go to the Scrapbook Expo (missed seeing you though) and had a blast there... spent way too much as usual and my first stop was of course DCWV and then Blue Moon beads! Promised myself I was NOT going to buy paper this time, but that was thrown right out the window as usual! I came home with a ton of paper again and some fabulous new beads, not to mention the adorable bracelet make and take you guys were doing at Blue Moon! Love it! Wanted to tell you that I LOVED seeing the peacock from CHA up close and personal - wanted to steal it in fact but I resisted :) Thanks for all you do!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful layouts!
ReplyDeleteSuch girly layouts....very pretty!
ReplyDeleteHi Erin! Love the layouts but sorry I did not see The Hunger Games. I was at home playing with my DCWV Paper Stacks. LOL! Some how I think that was a great trade off. :)
ReplyDeleteWhy yes, I did see the Hunger Games, and I did enjoy it! I've read the whole series, and I think the movie is a pretty fair adaptation of the first book. My hubby hasn't read any of the books, and he thought it was pretty good too, and that's saying a lot because he's pretty critical.
ReplyDeleteLovely pages today - Both very different, but great use of the stacks on both. My daughter would be all over that Teenage Dream Stack. :)
congrats to the winners, no I have not seen the movie, probably wait til it comes out on dvd. Thanks for sharing today some vibrant layouts.

Have heard a lot of goo things about Hunger Games, didn't get to see it as I had a scrappin weekend with my sister. I was at the Scrapbook USA Expo. Loved the DCWV booth. Thanks for the great deals.
ReplyDeleteWonderful layouts! I've bought the first book but I have quite a few other books to read first. I've given it to my DH in hopes that he'll actually read it... not holding my breath on that one. As for the movie... the last movie we saw was the last Harry Potter. Before that, the next to last Harry Potter.
ReplyDeleteWow! beautiful! You're right, so many details, it's so fun to look at it!

Wow... Hail and snow! I didn't know that was possible. Oh my gosh, what beautiful pages. I wish my teen grandaughter was younger! She came to our family at 12, but is now 17. I don't have a lot of pix of her in her younger years. I might talk to ther other gramma and see if she's got some I can use to make her an album. She's a sweet shy girl and would love an album.

What great layouts! And congrats to last week's winners!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and hubby went to see it. I took my youngest one to see the Lorax. They loved it. My daughter said there were differences between the book and the movie but not too many. She can't wait for the other ones to come out and she did say she was glad to read the book first before seeing the movie. Now My hubby wants to read the books. I love the Gabbi LO. The Roses are amazing.

These new papers are fantastic! I love the bright colors and somewhat "retro" designs! Great for those of us reliving the 60's-70's! LOL! Trying to get my hands on the Hunger Games books before seeing the movie. Seems the books are always better, but if they don't change too very much for the movie, it's great, too! Thanks for the movie review!
ReplyDeleteThe Gabbi l/o is AWESOME!!!!! Love the combo of color and design. Glad you liked the Hunger Games...I have NO intention of seeing it I prefer romance & comedy since there is enough in the world to worry about! Then again, I even thought Bambi movie was sad in the end!! LOL

Have not seen the movie yet. Gorgeous layouts.
ReplyDeleteWith some friends I saw "The Hunger Games" here in Germany with all of us not knowing the book (I never got it at the library, other people had always been faster ...) and although I had to close my eyes several times (can't stand seeing blood ^^'), I think this movie is really extraordinary and not that "mainstream" as so many other fantasy books/films nowadays, so I really really liked it ^^
