Hey everyone!! Are you having a great week?? I sure am :) Things are busy around here with Easter around the corner. Now that Spring Break is over, my boys are on a countdown til the end of school! There is never a dull moment when you have little boys around you...oh and one big boy, oh I mean my husband :)
Today I want to show you one of the stars of our CHA booth, the gorgeous parrots! Have you seen these beauties?? I have some photos so you can see how they were created.
The parrots body is sculpted out of styrofoam with a tool that we can't figure out a name for :) The long metal piece heats up and makes carving the styrofoam a breeze.
The parrots feathers were cut out with an electronic cutting machine and layered on the body. Have you noticed how much patience it takes to make a piece of art like this??
The beak is hand beaded with tiny beads and placed on the foam perfectly! Wow, talk about a steady hand!
After all of the many steps and time, this is how the finishing product looks like. Aren't they adorable?
Another example of DCWV having the most creative and hardworking team in the industry!! I have never seen creativity like this, it's amazing!
I hope you enjoyed these photos! Tonight I am off to judge a local beauty pageant! Kinda random but the 12 girls have to create a scrapbook explaining their platform so that's how I got roped in :) Should be a fun night!
I'll be back on Friday to show you the happy SPRING wreath that is on my front door. Have a fabulous day!
