Hello!! I am so happy it's Friday! Well I am always happy it's Friday but this week has been long for me. Ups and downs and lots of stress! But I am so happy the weekend is here. Going to spend some good time with my Mama and sister and our kids tomorrow for Mother's Day. That is always something that we look forward to :) What are you up to this weekend?? Ready for Mother's Day?
I sat down to make this project thinking what a great gift it would be. But it just turned out so cute I decided it looked fabulous on my own key ring ha ha! Does that ever happen to you? Or am I the only selfish crafter? ;)
I just love how this photo keyring turned out!!! I used the Spring Fling Matstack which was perfect for my springy photos. I love how the matstacks have the awesome designs scaled down to fit smaller projects like these. It was so fun to make and it really would make a fun gift...after you make one for yourself of course!
And I love how easy it is! To make your bases, look through your wallet and find some old gift cards or rewards cards that you just don't use :) Man, my wallet was full so this was easy! I used two and cut them in half length wise so it gave me 4 long pieces of hard plastic. And I used my corner chomper thingy to round all of the edges.
I covered the fronts and backs with Spring Fling paper. Make sure you use some good adhesive to keep this down. I used my trusty Scor-Tape. When in doubt, grab your Scor-Tape :) I inked my edges and started decorating with tiny photos, letter stickers and stamps. Keep your stickers flat since the next step is adding 2 layers of Mod Podge. This gives it a nice thick coat which should help your key chain protected from dirty fingers and the abyss which is the bottom of your purse :)
Punch holes with your Crop-a-dile and string them on a key ring. That's it! Isn't it adorable! If you need a last minute Mother's Day idea, this would make any Mother or Grandmother SO HAPPY!!
Just in case you missed it- check yesterday's blog post to see the 25 May Arts Challenge winners! Are you on the list??!
Have a fabulous weekend, everyone! See you back here on Monday!
