You have some cuties there! What a great family! I found a tee shirt this year that says, "This is my Gramma Costume!" I have it on now. My 2 1/2 year granddaughter thinks it's perfect!

I will be Monster High Sandee Dracula my daughter will be Clawdeen and my son is going as Optimus Prime -transformers,dad is the man handing out candy? I hope to get good pictures!

What fun costumes for the whole family! Many years ago when the kids were little, I made the 3 boys and hubby and me costumes so the whole family was dressed in prisoner co stumes and had our own little "chain" gang for trick or treating. We had so much fun as a family.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume ever was actually my husband when we first met. We are both on the shorter side of the height chart. So he went out and got himself a neon purple disco suit a big afro wig and went as Gary Coleman. I couldn't stop laughing the whole night. Me however am more of a simple costume person. I always wear the same costume every year. I put on a name tag and go as Bob. Everybody loves Bob :)

ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween! It's hard to pick a favorite costume from when I was a little girl. My big sister, Sunny alsways helped me make a homemade costume. I remember going as a little french girl with a beret and a little spanish senorita when she took one of our church veils and made it stand up in the back with a hair comb. I carried a fan and I think maybe castenets. SO long ago now. After she moved out, I don't remember costumes as vividly, but I do have pictures of me and my first little 5th grade boyfriend on Halloween. I was a hobo and he was a woman. Pretty funny. Your family is TOO CUTE! Have a safe and fun day!

So cute!! Unfortunately my kids are grown! although this year I did have a Cleopatra and a Scary Jester! My faves were back in the day when we made super hero costumes out of sweat suits. He would wear them all year long!

I have not worn a costume in years, now it is all about the grandchildren. the best one I ever had was when i was little my dad went all out and mde this fancy crib that went all around me and I was dressed up like the cutest little baby.. Cute costumes! My favorite costume ever was a belly dancer (I was 10 and had the belly for it then :) I plan to force my family to be The Incredibles next year and then that will be my favorite!

Your family is adorable!! My husband and I don't dress up anymore but my favorite costume is a toss up between when we went as Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf or my son's first Halloween when he was a baby Superman (he was 2 months old!) and my husband and I were the Kents. :)

I have a Jedi master and padawan learner (father and son age 8) a train conductor (age 4), a dragon (age 2), Snow White (age 6) and a BYU cheerleader (age 8 months).

My favorite has to be the year I made my daughter's Dorothy from the Wizarf of Oz costume! She was adoreable down to her shiny ruby slippers! Iloved to sew and create back then too. Labor of love!

ReplyDeleteLove your Halloween costumes. This year I actually had two different costumes that I wore for different events. One of them was burned out, I took a t-shirt and burned holes in it (wore a red t-shirt underneath) and painted my eyes to look like I was extremely exhausted. My other costume was a sleepover girl - pj's and piggy tails. I got to wear my pj's and slippers all day long, it was an extremely comfy costume.

ReplyDeleteI haven't dressed up in years, I did take the kiddo trick or treating, he was Mario from Super Mario Bros., we kept running into a kid from his class dressed up as Mario's brother Luigi. They kept giggling and thought it was the coolest thing ever. Trick or treating was a blast with the silly 5 year old tonight. :-)

I got alot of attention. I felt so special, because I was so skinny then. I also celebrate my weeding anniversary now, I was married on Halloween day. Love the holiday and the happiness it brings kids especially when they receive their candy. ANA

ReplyDeleteGreat family pic. The costumes rock. Last years my son who was 9 dressed up as an old man he named "BILL". He had a hump and a pot belly and he walked with a cane. It was so funny!!! When we went out trick or treating, people actually stopped and asked if they could take pics of his costume, it was just that funny!!!! Of course my son was in all of his glory!!!!

But alas, with my kids' ages ranging from little one, to pre-teen to teen, they can never agree on one theme or one movie. I won't be dressing up this year, unfortunately, due to health problems but my favorite costume had to be Cleopatra. It's always fun to get into the spirit of the holiday! I went as a mummy. I stood in the corner and talked to no one, untl the costume judging. I moved out of the corner in traditional mummy fashion. It got very quiet. I won the most realistic costume prize. And when that was finished, I took off the wrapping from my head and everyrone was surprized. It was so much fun. Big hugs. Jess

I love your costumes!! What a beautiful family you have, your boys are adorable and you are a smoking hot mama... looking great as a cop! I am sure the boys ended up with tons of loot! Normally we all dress up but last night we ended up just being bag carriers to Pikachu. It was a much more subdued Halloween than we usually have, still cold and wet and windy. Even the kids were not as exuberant as usual, but it was still fun.

Love your cops and robbers theme! Such a cute family!! My fav costume was a princess outfit my mother made out of an old sheet covered in crepe paper ruffles. I thought it was the most beautiful dress I had ever seen and is perhaps the reason I love ruffles to this day. It rained on Halloween, however, and the crepe paper was a total mess by the time the trick or treating was over.

ReplyDeleteOh WOW! You guys look great! How creative! My family (my DH and 3 daughters, and I) all dressed up as Chef's. I had ordered Cheft hats and aprons from a Food Supply Shop and had them all embroidered with "Chef Valerie, Chef Jeff, Chef Vivian, Chef Lilian, and Chef Clairian." It may not sound very impressive but w/all 5 of us w/ flour on our faces and wisks and spatulas in our pumpkin buckets we got a ton of compliments.

I remember a couple of years ago a little boy about 3 years old was Woody -the sheriff from Toy Story- and instead of saying Trick or Treat he said "Howdy Pardner....I'm here to steal all your candy!" And of course he said it in his most Woody type of voice. He was the cutest thing EVER! Thanks for sharing your adorable family with us.

ReplyDeleteYour family looks adorable in the costumes. My son is 15 now so even if we weren't hit hard in New York City by Sandy, I'm not sure he would have dressed up. I used to love Halloween. It was my 2nd favorite holiday after Christmas and I did it up big with costumes and decorations. 3 yrs ago, though, I suddenly lost my mom on Halloween so now the holiday makes me melancholy. My best costume was when I was 7. I dressed up as a ballerina with the most perfect pink tutu. I remember feeling ever so happy and pretty in pink! Thanks for sharing your pictures.
